Overview

One One Cha Don • 一等一茶档 • OUG Restaurant offers a refreshing addition to Kuala Lumpur’s vibrant food scene. Nestled at 29, Jalan Hujan in Taman Overseas Union, this newly opened eatery combines traditional flavors with a comfortable air-conditioned setting, making it a great spot for both casual diners and food enthusiasts.

The restaurant specializes in classic noodle dishes, with several menu highlights worthy of mention. The wonton noodles stand out for their springy, firm texture paired with succulent, sweet Char Siew, delivering a satisfying balance typical of well-executed Cantonese comfort food. Equally impressive is their pan mee—a delightful dish that offers chewy noodles swimming in flavorful broth, complemented by generous toppings and a chili sauce that elevates every bite. This dish has garnered praise for its texture and seasoning, making it an ideal pick for those craving hearty Malaysian-Chinese noodles.

Another staple here is the Chun noodles, a simple yet beloved noodle soup. While the noodles themselves maintain good quality, some components like the prawn dumplings show inconsistency in freshness, suggesting room for refinement. Despite this, the light and balanced pork flavor in both the dry and soup versions has been appreciated by many, making it a comforting option.

One One Cha Don also takes pride in their coffee offerings, notably the kopi cham, which impresses with a thick and robust profile without overwhelming sweetness. Although some patrons feel the coffee could be stronger, the reasonable pricing and improved seating area with better ventilation enhance the overall dining experience. The venue’s space caters well to both small groups and solo diners seeking a quick, satisfying meal in a relaxed atmosphere.

Serving authentic Malaysian-Chinese fare with a mix of traditional recipes and modern touches, One One Cha Don • OUG Restaurant appeals to those who value casual dining enriched by familiar tastes and thoughtful preparation. While a few elements like drink strength and ingredient freshness can be improved, the overall quality, ambiance, and location make it a promising destination for noodle lovers exploring Kuala Lumpur’s culinary landscape.

Newly opened restaurant with air-conditioning. I tried the Wonton Noodles and was pleasantly surprised by it. The noodles were springy and firm and the Char Siew succulent and sweet. Overall very good. Will definitely return again.

Came here to try the Chun Noodles and found out that many of their stalls have changed hands. The coffee is excellent and very reasonably priced, while the seating arrangement has improved together with better ventilation. However this can further be improved. The Chun noodles is a mixed bag as the noodles are excellent but the prawn dumplings miss the mark for being stale. The surprise find is the pan mee, that is springy and chewy served in a delicious broth and comes with generous ingredients that's to dip in a perfect chilli sauce (9/10). I'll be coming back to try the other stalls.
